Clarity begins with experience
Leadership
Kingfisher is a principal-led intelligence and risk advisory practice. Our work is defined by the experience, judgement, and analytical discipline of the people who lead it. We maintain a small leadership team by design, ensuring that every engagement benefits from direct senior involvement and the discretion required for sensitive, high-consequence matters.
We bring complementary backgrounds across military, national-security, and private-sector intelligence work. That breadth allows us to approach each engagement with a calm understanding of risk, behaviour, and context, and to deliver insight that is proportionate, independent, and shaped by the governance, regulatory, and operational realities present in the UK, EU, and international environments.
Our Leadership
Bryce Ernst
Founder & Principal | Intelligence, Risk, and Investigative Advisory
Bryce is an intelligence and risk adviser with experience across specialised military aviation, counterintelligence roles within the U.S. national-security framework, and private-sector intelligence work. His background includes cross-border investigations, exposure and behavioural analysis, and geopolitical risk advisory for clients navigating sensitive or complex situations.
He has supported matters involving foreign intelligence activity, illicit finance, procurement networks, and organisational risk, working closely with legal counsel, corporate leadership, and high-visibility individuals. His approach blends investigative discipline, intelligence methodology, and protective-strategy principles to deliver clarity where discretion, accuracy, and proportionality are essential.
Bryce leads Kingfisher as a principal-involved practice, ensuring that each engagement reflects the rigour, independence, and quiet judgement that define the firm’s work across UK, EU, and global jurisdictions.
